COVID-19 Booster Doses have been expanded to Moderna and J&J Vaccine recipients. The booster dose is still limited to specific groups of individuals at this time which can be found below.
Updated CDC Resources for COVID-19 Booster Doses
Along with approving a booster for the Moderna and J&J vaccines, the CDC has also approved mixing and matching vaccine manufacturers for booster doses. For example, recipients of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine may choose to receive a Pfizer booster.
A booster dose is recommended for all J&J Vaccine recipients 2 months following their first dose. For Pfizer and Moderna Vaccine recipients, a booster is recommended for certain groups of individuals 6 months following completion of the initial series. Those groups can be found below.
September 27, 2021 - Pfizer Booster Approved for Certain Groups
Certain Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccine Recipients have been approved for a booster dose as of last week. The dose is only recommended for specific groups of individuals at this time which can be found below.
